There is so much about Twitter that one cannot resist! This micro-blogging service is getting more popular that even celebrities are getting hooked to it. The tech community, which also includes celebrities by the way, likes this social networking site so much that the number of visitors rapidly increases day by day!

Timesonline ranks comedian Stephen Fry as the number one twittering celebrity. He is followed by record-breaking cyclist Lance Armstrong, pop icon Britney Spears, news anchor Rick Sanchez, basketball player Shaquille O’Neil, actor John Cleese, comedian Jonathan Ross, environmentalist and politician Al Gore, rapper MC Hammer, and another comedian John Hodgman. These celebrities make up the top-ten list of most active twittering celebrities to date!

And what do these celebrities have to say on their Twitter accounts? Well, it’s practically so much the same as what ordinary Twitter users have to say, only that the posts are frequently read upon by thousands and thousands of followers! Celebrities also write on almost any interesting topic of their choice although several others like Britney Spears may have something bizarre to say.

But seriously, Twitter has taken online social networking by storm. Its benefits have gone very important especially in the fields of searching, interacting, updating, and fast networking among many others. It provides its users a place to share experiences and basically just publicly let others know how one feels, reacts, or makes the most out of any topic under the sun!

Twitter, as an active form of micro-blogging, is essentially helpful to people who like to write with the least number of words possible. For some others who practically do want to write blogs, Twitter could be there to change their minds as it allows blogging in  140 characters or even less! Plus, a word or phrase of very short blogging will do for lazy bloggers out there. But if blogging won’t really work at all, better try doing and maximizing some other features available in Twitter.

OK, if celebrities have the time to twit their ideas and have them spread around, then there is no reason why ordinary fellows cannot do it! Log on to Twitter and enjoy the fun or probably the art of twittering!
